Hi John:
That Itterman in the Ebenezer Cemetery is a cousin of mine, Irma Itterman.
Her Grandfather Christian was the brother of my Grandfather Peter. I met her
father and most of his children in Edmonton where they came to live, from
Ebenezer, Saskatchewan. I'll have to tell them about Irma.
BTW, I should amend my previous e-mail. It was my GrGrandfather's marriage
record, my grandfather's  and all his sister' and brother's birth records
that I knew nothing about, were all in the Lutheran records.
I knew the names before, but that was all. It was a goldmine for me. I'm
still making some connections.

 I have recently found the same happening in some recent reasearch of the
Singbeil family.  I appears Ludwig Singbeil who was married Catherine
Ziegler converted to the Baptist faith probably while they lived in
Volhynia.  They had moved to Romania in 1889 before coming to Canada in
1900.
    The recorded deaths of this family I have found so far all indicate
burial in the Ebenezer (Saskatchewan) Baptist Cemetery.
BTW Nelson, there is an Ittermann buried in the same cemetery.  You can

  I have my grandfather's marriage and the birth of some of his children in
  the Lutheran records prior to his conversion to Baptist faith. Searches in
  the Lutheran records may reveal some ancestors.

  Lutheran records, others have.  There were those German Baptists who
  migrated typically from the Lodz and Suwalki regions to the district north
  of Pulin in Volhynia.  As Dave says, these people would almost never be
  found in Lutheran records.

  However, there were also those Baptists who converted from Lutheran in
  Volhynia.  With such families you might find success in Lutheran records.
  Suppose you great grandfather Gustav was born in 1873 and the family
  converted in 1875.  Your knowledge of the family indicates the family was
  always Baptist when in fact Gustav's birth and infant baptism would be
  recorded in the Lutheran Church.  Similarly, one branch of the family may
  have converted while another didn't.  If you have enough details, you may
be
  able to make the association and use Lutheran records to track back the
  other branch of the family.
