[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Researching ancestry in Tscheremoschne - Thankyou!

Thanks so much Jerry for the great info! I'll go ahead and get my hands on 
the relevant films to see whether they tell me anything about my 
ancestors.I'd found the records list at the odessa site but wasn't sure if 
the records covered Tscheremoshne.

As far as the family's aware they would have been Lutheran. Certainly 
according to the birth record for my great aunt Martha STREMEL she was 
Lutheran.

We think Alwine & Lorenz STREMEL left approx. 1907. They ended up in 
Pomerania, with my grandmother Emmi STREMEL being born on the way in 
Ostpreussen (someone's description was that she was born on the 'refugee 
trail' - whatever that means). She was born in 1911, so between the 
estimated departure of 1907 and the year of her birth we have no idea of the 
route they took or where they may have stopped on the way.

Thank goodness we had Martha STREMEL's birth record or we wouldn't have 
found out the little we have. Hopefully the LDS collection will help me even 
more!

I will look further into SGGEE membership. Certainly understanding the 
history goes a long way to developing research ideas and perhaps I'll even 
discover something in the databases.
