There is a Maser descendant living in Edmonton who is related to
George Maser. Her name is Ella Cook (nee Maser). She is in her
80's. If you are interested in her telephone number, send a private
e-mail to me. I have all the information that she has plus
information that I obtained from the Leduc, Alberta history book
called, "Trails Ploughed Over, Rural Leduc" and a Metke family
history book written by Ruth Fitz.
There were two Maser brothers, August and Gottfried (Fred) Maser
who were born in Karlindorf and emigrated in 1912 to Alberta. Their
parents were Michael Maser and Susanne Weise. Ella Cook is a
daughter of Gottfried (Fred) Maser and his wife, Marie Ehmke. They
had brothers Adolf Maser who emigrated to Chicago, Julius who married
Bertha Kletke (George Maser is from this line), and sisters Christine
(married Adolf Wollenberg) and Anna. Christine died in Germany. I
have no further information about Anna.
The Michael Maser/Susanne Weise family moved from Karlindorf to
Janowka which is close to Karlindorf. In the St. Petersburg records,
Janowka is "Johannesdorf".
