Kristen,
I and a few others on this list have been corresponding with a fellow in Brazil, who I believe is a descendant of Julius Hening, brother to Rudolf.
Could you please give some birth dates and places for the people you mention?
Rose Ingram

Greetings.
I am searching for information on the predecessors (ancestry) and
relatives of Henry (Heinrich) Hennig and Emilie (Karras) Hennig, who
emigrated from Volhynia, Poland, Heinrich in 1893 and his wife in
1895, to Quebec via Liverpool and then to Winnipeg, Gretna and
Emerson,(Ridgeville) Manitoba, Canada. We assume Heinrich was born
about 1855 somewhere in Brandenburg/Prussia. He and Emilie were
married in 1880. Emilie (Karras) Hennig was born in Magdeburg,
Germany. Heinrich (Henry) became a professional soldier, serving as
a canonnoneer in the Prussian army and settling in Volhynia, Poland.
Possible ancestor of Henry (Heinrich) was Carl
Hennig, possibly a German nobleman. Wife of German nobleman, Carl,
was a Dabbert (spelled?). Heinrich Hennig had two brothers, Carl
Ferdinand, whose sons emigrated to Brazil, and Leopold Hennig. Carl
Ferdinand died about 1908 in Germany. Carl Ferdinand used many
different name spellings, including "Carl", "Karl" and "Carlos."
Heinrich left Poland in 1893 with his oldest son, Rudolph. His wife
Emilie followed a few years later with the other six children. The
Hennigs settled in Canada. Their children were:
Rudolph Hennig, b.1883.
Julianna Hennig Keil (KYLE), b. 1885
William Hennig, b.1888
Emily Hennig Walter b.?
Mathilde Woite, married to Edward Woite of Mossbank, Sask, Canada
Hulda Hennig Neuman, b.?
Gustave Hennig, b.1895
Julius Hennig, b. ?
Helena Hennig Kreitz, b.? lived near Emerson, Manitoba, Canada
Emma Hennig Singbeil (Albert), Mossbank, Sask. Canada
Anna Hennig
3 children died in Poland--Augusta Mary,Helen and Bertha
Any information you or anyone else might have on the earlier
ancestors of the above mentioned persons would be treasured by my
family, as my mother is now in her nineties and there are many
unanswered questions about the family
history.
P.S. My grandfather, William Hennig, had a first cousin by the name
of Karras who wrote a book about hunting and trapping in Canada in
the 1930s. It was called North to Cree Lake.
Sincerely,
Kristen Bode Brantley
