[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Church Records for Village of Jachimowka

Until 1862 there was only one Lutheran parish in Volhynia at Zhitomir.  In
that year Rozyszcze parish was established in the western part of Volhynia.
Then in 1892, Wladimir-Wolynski parish was formed from the west part of
Rozyszcze parish.  Thus your records after 1862 should be in Rozyszcze
parish.  Most of the Volhynia Lutheran records up to the end of 1885 are
available on LDS microfilms, and some Rozyszcze and Wladimir records are on
microfilms for 1885 to 1899.  A complete list is on the SGGEE website at

In addition, there are further post 1885 records in the AGAD archive in
Warsaw that have not been filmed.

The pre-1885 Volhynia records are also on a searchable database which can be
accessed through the SGGEE website.  A search shows two couples which could
be your ggg grandparents:  Ludwig Otto / Alwine Luebeck married in 1872
(probably too early to be yours), and Ludwig Ott / Julianna Gast.  The names
Otto and Ott are sometimes used interchangeably.

Finally, the archive in Luck (Lutzk) has some post-1900 records but of
course access is more difficult.
