Edith:

     Churchill/Stalin/Roosevelt made a pact at Potsdam to return any Russian 
citizen found in western Europe back to Russia at the end of WWII.  Eisenhauer 
was just carrying out their agreement.  I don't think they cared where they 
came from other than they were allegedly Russian citizens.  The western allies 
and Russian thugs rounded up any Russian citizens they could find in the west 
and sent them to the east.  We know a little about the fate of those sent 
back, but the complete story has yet to be told.
