[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Origin of Helwig from Plock, Poland - Russia area

Daryl,

Have you looked at any microfilmed church records?
If you know the birth place (and parish of baptism) of the first child it is 
possible the marriage record of Edward Helwig and Minnie Klinger, may also 
be in the same parish.  This marriage record may say where Edward was born 
and who his parents are and same for Minnie (Wilhelmina?).
