[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Dreger Mysteries

This is most fascinating to me.  Would there have been any members of the family that lived in Lodz, Pabianice, or Tomaszow until the end of WWII?  I have Schmidtkes in my ancestry while Pokrandt were close family friends.  One of them, Max, married my aunt in Wiesbaden after they left Poland.
