Jerry Frank's assistance & Guenther Boehm's assistance was of great help! I
love this ListServeList!
I believe it was a "B". My doctor friend is not a certified translator, but
has offered her assistance on good report. Biala is the name, I'm sure, as I
see it plainly. but is is hard to descipher all of the document, and Dr.
Pokroy has done marvelously to assist me. Biala is also noted on my
grandmother's record, with reference to a witness, who came from that area;
my grandmother was born in Maszewo, not far from Biala. Also these are both
situated quite close to Plock, where the original record was stored. This, I
am certain is the place. Thank you to all for all your support!
I've also recently had my gggrandfather's death record transcribed from the
same area, by Dr. Pokroy, and his father's name is stated in this document,
which only confirms further the identity of my ggggrandfather, which is also
confirmed via the SGGEE db.
Many thanks,
Gilda Patterson
