Thank you both Jerry and Karl

I appreciate your ideas and opinions.  Just needed some guidance on how to 
apply this to my ancestors, what their daily lives would have been like and 
how this carried over to their lives in Canada.  It gives me a picture of 
what they came with and how this may have changed or been diluted in some 
ways (from my observations of them as a youngster).
