This is a resend the link didn't have a space before the start of the
next sentence and incorporated the first word.
Have anyone tried this one http://uke.multimap.com/. It does cover part
of Eastern Europe.

Really neat maps system on line that makes MapQuest look very old
fashioned.
http://www.map24.com
Click on the little British flag for English version. Enter a town or
street address of interest and watch it work.
Once the map comes up, you can zoom in or out as if you are flying in a
balloon without waiting for a new page. The features, surrounding
roads,
rivers etc. all retain their relative positions as you go in or out.
Not
only is it a virtual zoom but if you click the sides of the map or
another
nearby town, it slides over to centre that location. It also has a
"rocket" function that automatically zooms in and out.
Unfortunately it appears to cover only the current European Market
countries, not Poland or Ukraine at this time.
