The entire c.1910 edition of the Austro-Hungarian series maps at 1:200,000
scale, 267 sheets total, and in colour. Go to
http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/digkonyv/topo/3felmeres.htm for the overview key
map. There is no place name index.
In addition to the Hungarian regions of interest to this University, the
maps cover most of Russian Poland, Volhynia, Galicia, and back west into
Germany to the border regions of France.
Some words of caution:
1. Be prepared for extremely long downloads due to huge file sizes for the
individual sheets.
2. This early series of maps contains place name spelling errors and does
not include numerous place names which are on the more recent 1930s edition
available from commercial sources like Genealogy Unlimited. For example,
in the region of Derazno, NW of Rowno in Volhynia, Germanic villages of
Pendyki, Dombrowka, and Jaminiec appear on the most recent version of the
map but not on the online edition.
3. Quality of the scans is quite good but not as good as those we have for
Ukraine through the Berkeley University series.
In spite of these concerns, you may find these maps very useful.
