The location of Zyrardow is perhaps about 30 miles southwest
of Warsaw and the town that you have listed as Feliscdorf is actually
Felixdorf which is adjacent to the northeast side of Zyrardow.
In going through the records for this area it appears that many of the
Germans
who originally moved into the several towns on the northern side of
Zyrardow,
might have come directly from Brandenburg in the early 1800s ,  and the
Germans
who came into Alexandria and Benenard on the southside, are from an earlier
migration
that started in the 1770s in the western end of Poland and had progressed
easterly across
central Poland. My ancestors in these towns on the southside of Zyrardow had
already been
 in 3 or 4 other towns prior to moving here and most were 2nd and 3rd
generation colonists at this point.

There was apparently some need to prove your background during the war
because I remember a
relative who was born in Zyrardow and had moved to Lodz, telling me that he
once
had to travel to Rawa Maz to get a copy of his grandfathers marriage record.

Starting in the 1830s there was some migration out of Zyradow heading east
towards Volhynia
and this lasted into the 1890s.
There was also a bit of new migration into the Zyradow area again in the
1850s because of the
opening of the cloth mills.
