[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Family Tree maker vs Legacy

Apparently Family Tree Maker have a new released a new version but at the same
time they have discontinued distribution through independent genealogy
suppliers.

These same suppliers are now touting "Legacy" as a better option.

Are there many of list members using this program and what comments have you
on a comparison of the two programs?

I have used FTM for years but I am weary of their continual upgrades and
incompatibility with older versions.
