Hello Doug,
any idea where Johannes GUT came from? Galicia was Austrian up to 1918
and thus predominantly catholic. Was Johannes catholic too? My own
ancestors include several catholic GUT [GUTH] from northern Bohemia,
Austro-Hungarian Empire.
