[William Remus]

Szczepanowo (pronounced Stefan-owo) is a very nice village north 
and east of Posen. It is in the midst of rich farmland in rolling 
country.

My great grandmother Wilhelmine Harwardt (wife of August Remus) 
was born there in the 1840's. They migrated to Canada in 1892 and 
lived in Emerson MB. The Andreas Pomerenke family now of 
Canada also lived there. Both families went to Volhynia before 
continuing on the Canada.
