Hi Darcy,
Probably your location is Antonowka, District of Vladimir-Volinski,
Volhynia, Russia. Until WW I, Volhynia was a province of Russia. Today it
is located in the northwest corner of Ukraine. Vladimir-Volinski is a city
very near the Polish border. Unfortunately, there were 4 or 5 German
villages named Antonowka in the area and further research will be required
to determine which one is yours. Vital records for 1885 and earlier are
available on the internet at http://pixel.cs.vt.edu/library/search.html
Type your surname in the Search String and select St. Petersburg Archives in
the Data Category. A number of Keding names turn up, some of them at
Antonowka. This will get you started. If some of the names appear to
belong to your family, you can order microfilms of the original records at
any LDS Family History Library.

Subject: [Ger-Poland-Volhynia] RE: Location of Antunuska
I have recently come across some information which indicates that my Keding
Family was from Antunuska, District of Vladimir, Volensk, Russia. Does
anyone know where this town is located and what it is called now. Thanks
for
your help.
