Not sure why you don't accept this as a first name for the
mother. Gottlieb is a common German male name and Gottlieba (possibly
transliterated as Gottlieby by a Polish person) is the female
equivalent. Similar to Wilhelm / Wilhelmina, Friedrich / Friedrica; etc.
It may of course be that the woman was commonly known by her second name
but Gottlieba is certainly valid.
