[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Radke connection?

Hi, Dick!

I do not see a connection to any of these people. My own Radke folk came
from the area around Josephine - Marjanowka north of Wolodarsk. Our earliest
ancestor there was Julius Radke (m. Wilhelmine Grade 1877). Children in that
family were Karl Emil, Emil August, Emilie, Leo Gustav, Otto Gustav, Gustav,
and Ernst. All except Leo (who died young) emigrated from Volhynia to the
Bruderheim and Barrhead areas of Alberta in the early 1900's.

We have never been able to document any connection to other Radke folk in
Volhynia or Poland, but we believe that such connections must have existed
because of other Radke's that show up as godparents to some of the children
mentioned above, in particular an Emma Radke(Rathke). We have also not traced
any descendants to Minnesota, Tennessee or North Dakota.

Thanks for asking. You never know!
