Parish Names and Lists of Microfilms
LDS microfilms for Polish regions are indexed according to provincial boundaries as they were in modern Poland pre 1975. Since most of our research covers the time before WW I, a summary of parishes in the regions applicable to that time frame, with direct links to the microfilm numbers, would be a major help to researchers. The following links provide that for you.
Baptist Church Records
- In Russian Poland
- In Volhynia
At the present time, we do not have any links to microfilms containing data about Baptists in Volhynia.
Lutheran Church Records
- In Russian Poland
- In Volhynia, Podolia and Kiev
- In East Prussia
- In West Prussia
- In Galicia
- In Pomerania and Brandenburg
- In Silesia
Reformed Church Records
To date, only one set of Reformed Church records have been uncovered in our region of interest. It covers the Neudorf / Neubrow settlement in Volhynia but is based in Wlodawa, Russian Poland. We have listed the relevant info on our Lutherans in Volhynia page.
Catholic Church Records
- In Russian Poland
(Very few Catholic Germans lived in Russian Poland. Where it is known that a particular Catholic parish contains significant numbers of Protestant entries, such records will be included with that particular denomination's records listed above.)
The Lutheran Church in Poland Today
Lutheran Church in Poland (in English) - There is a link on that page (Directories) that is also in English, but the main listing of the parishes and dioceses is in Polish. The first part of this Polish language page are Lutheran resources, like radio programs, etc, the middle section are the dioceses with the parishes in each diocese, and the last section are additional resources for those interested in the Lutheran religion.
