I am just on my way home from a visit to my parents' ancestral birthplaces of Mydzk near Kostopol and Milaswiev near Kolki. We had a very intersting journey mostly seeing only open land. At Milaswiew we did see fruit trees and lilacs as well as the stone foundation of cold cellar. We also visited Marianowka where my great grandfather's house is still used as a summer home. We saw the 'back ofen' and the locals said the cherry and other fruit trees were started by the German's. In this case it was the Bug-Hollander's. I will write more another day...currently stuck in London with 5 hour flight delay.
